Guide Dogs Qld at the 2026 Steadfast Convention

The Steadfast Convention is an annual event held in a different Australian capital city each year. This year it is being held on the Gold Coast and it is Australasia’s largest annual general insurance industry event, organized by the Steadfast Group. It serves as a major gathering for over 2,000 brokers, insurers, and industry leaders to collaborate, learn, and discuss trends, with the 2026 event focusing on innovation, technology, and navigating industry changes.   

Guide Dogs Queensland is the selected Charity Partner for the event with a stall in the marketplace during the expo (23 and 24 March) and the Charity beneficiary at the Gala Ball (24 March). We are seeking assistance from 30 volunteers to help support at the Gala Ball/Dinner event to make it a huge success.

Please note before the shift, we will be conducting a briefing, and a meal will also be provided.

Date: Tuesday 24 March 2026

Shift time: 5:30PM - 12:00AM (with volunteer briefing to begin at 5:30PM)

Location: Gold Coast Convention Centre, 2684-2690 Gold Coast Hwy, Broadbeach QLD 4218

The role: volunteers will assist with setting out flyers on tables, spruiking attendees to pledge donations on the pledge forms and through the QR code on the flyers, collecting pledge forms off a set group of tables.

Requirements: volunteers must be comfortable talking to attendees *please note a cheat sheet of talking points will be provided*
