Online Catch Up: Feedback Session

Image Description: Woman smiling at the camera while sitting at a desk in front of a laptop and wearing headset/earphones.

We’re exploring new ways for volunteers to support and learn from each other at Guide Dogs in 2026 — and we’d love your input.

This informal online feedback session is a chance to share your thoughts on the idea of volunteer mentor, peer support, or leadership roles, what these could look like in practice, and what would (or wouldn’t) work for you.

Date: Friday 23 January 2026

Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (AEST)

Where: Online via Microsoft Teams

Who: All Guide Dogs Queensland volunteers

Please note: this discussion will not cover dog training, handling advice, or technical training support roles, as these areas sit outside the scope of Volunteer Services and are supported by specialist teams.

Ideas we may explore include: buddying / checking in with new volunteers, coordinating shifts, leading small projects or events, hosting information sessions, helping with onboarding and volunteer resources, and creating social events.

Whether you’re a long-term volunteer or new to Guide Dogs, your perspective matters. Join us for a relaxed, respectful discussion and help us design something that genuinely supports our volunteer community.
