Volunteer Boarding Carer – Townsville & Cairns

Guide Dogs Queensland is seeking expressions of interest from flexible and caring boarding carers in the Townsville & Cairns regions to support our dogs on a short-term or as-needed basis.
About the Role
As a boarding carer, you’ll provide a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for one of our dogs for short-term placements.
You’ll have the full support of our team and receive all the skills, equipment, and guidance needed to care for the dog. All expenses including food, equipment, and veterinary costs are covered by Guide Dogs Queensland.

Time Commitment
Boarding carers play a flexible but vital role. Most stays are short-term (1–2 weeks), though occasional longer placements may arise.
